Cookies Notice

This explains what we store in your browser and why. There are two different answers, because the app you sign in to and the sites you publish behave differently.

In the VeraForge app

When you're signed in, we use cookies and equivalent browser storage for three things:

• Keeping you signed in between visits
• Keeping your session secure
• Remembering interface preferences, like which tab you were last on

That's all of it, unless you choose otherwise. If you accept on the cookie banner, we load Reddit's advertising pixel on veraforge.ca so we can tell whether an ad brought you here, and it sets its own cookies. It is the only advertising or analytics service we run on the app. If you decline, or if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, it never loads and sets nothing. You can change your answer by clearing this site's storage in your browser.

These are strictly necessary. You can block them in your browser, but you won't be able to stay signed in, so the app won't work.

On sites you publish

We set no cookies of our own on a published site. The pages we serve carry no client-side JavaScript that we wrote, so there's nothing of ours running in your visitor's browser and nothing of ours to store.

Embeds are the exception, and they're your choice. If you add something to your site that loads from another company, like a scheduling widget, a map, a store, or a video player, that embed runs in its own frame under that company's control. It can set its own cookies and it follows that company's privacy policy, not ours.

If you add an embed, telling your visitors about it is your responsibility. Our Privacy Policy explains where our accountability ends and yours begins.

Managing cookies

Every major browser lets you see what's stored, delete it, and block more. Look for privacy or site settings. Blocking everything will sign you out of the app.

Changes

If we change what we store or why, we'll update this page and change the date at the top.
