I spent years as a 433A Red Seal Millwright in Toronto, hands on machinery that had to perform or lives were at stake. You learn quickly that shortcuts cost more than the work they skip. Alignment, torque, the boring checks nobody sees, that's what keeps a plant running. I carried that habit into every job after.

When I moved into software, my intent was simple: help small businesses and everyday people gain access to and leverage the high-tech tools only enterprises could afford to benefit from. Small businesses were paying real money for tools that felt held together with duct tape. Missing rules, hollow promises, features that looked good in a demo and crumbled in week 1. The people on the blunt end of this were the ones I grew up around, the ones who couldn't afford to redo it.

VeraForge started because that gap kept getting worse, not better. AI made building faster, yet it also made shipping something unsafe faster, drastically increasing liability risk exposure through multiplying tech debt. I wanted a place to build where the standard operating procedures came first, where the blueprint was written down before the code was, and where the person on the other end of the invoice got software that actually performed to spec and promises were kept.

That's why I founded VeraForge, a small Canadian company based in Etobicoke, Ontario. The Blueprint forges the foundation, the canonical rules your build has to obey, and carries forward on every single iteration. The Anvil, a place where non-tech-savvy individuals can leverage advanced tools to build, is where the foundation is used to keep the AI aligned and on-track.
